“The Screaming Wheels can chill your soul to the bone and so it’s with this track ‘Before the Sun’ with its intensity, and yet beneath the sound of menace and darkness is a very hypnotic melody creepy but with class and emotionally played as you would expect”, says Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Norman Beaker.
Croatian Blues Challenge 2018 winner are releasing a single with accompanying documentary video which follows the band’s trip to International Blues Challenge 2019 in Memphis including famous Flux Studios in New York where the album is mixed.
“The song says that before the sun comes rain, before entertainment comes suffering, before sin comes faith, that is, self-examination, work and not giving up on dreams are inevitable for the happiness of individuals and society, as well as for self-confidence, empathy and other positive feelings. Only in this way will society be free”, says the band.

Group ‘The Screaming Wheels’ was founded in September 2018, just before applying for the 10th Croatian Blues Challenge (Pula, Croatia) which happened in November 2018 where they won in the category ‘Solo/Duo’. They represented Croatia at the 35th International Blues Challenge (Memphis, USA) in January 2019 where the critics and fans declared them as ‘Croatian sensation’. Denis and Leo have been friends since childhood and have collaborated on numerous bands and music projects and since they both love the blues, founding this band was a logical move. They decided not to act as a duo, but as a band, so that apart from Leo Andjelkovic (vocals, guitar) and Denis Makin (guitar, vocals), the band consist of Danijel Teodorovic (bass) and Erle Djurdjevic (drums).
